About the Work: The painting recalls the Great Flood that occurred during the time of the Prophet Noah, peace be upon him, and is mentioned in the Holy Quran. It also recalls the tragedies, destruction, and devastation that befell Mesopotamia, complete with the clash of civilizations—the Assyrians, Sumerians, Babylonians, and Akkadians—all of which occurred in Mesopotamia. During the Sumerian era, they innovated in expressing the infinity sign, a symbol of eternity for Mesopotamia. This means that no matter how many nations attack Mesopotamia, it is a blessed country that will rebuild itself forever.
